Terms of Service

Vault Hollandia is an independent project based in the Netherlands and available worldwide. It is developed and operated by André, an independent developer publishing under the name Hollandia Noir ("the developer", "we", "us", or "our").

01Introduction

Vault Hollandia ("the App") is a privacy-focused, local-first application for tracking collections and precious metals. These Terms apply to your use of:

• The Vault Hollandia app
• The website https://hollandia.the-vault.vip/ (the "Website")

By using the App or Website, you agree to these Terms. How we handle information is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

02Nature of the Service

Vault Hollandia works entirely on your device.

• No user accounts are required
• Data is stored locally on your device
• Your collection data is never uploaded to developer-operated servers

You may create local profiles, but these are device-specific and must be recreated manually on other devices.

The Website is a demo and marketing page. It may not exactly match the App.

03Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vault Hollandia.

04Local Profiles and Data

All data stays on your device, including:

• Collections and inventory
• Notes
• Photos
• PIN codes and recovery phrases

You are responsible for your own data and backups.

Important: if you lose your PIN or recovery phrase, we cannot recover your data. There is no reset mechanism, because we have no access to your data. Store your recovery phrase somewhere safe.

05Precious Metal Prices

The App may show gold and silver prices retrieved from external sources. This data is:

• For informational purposes only
• Not guaranteed to be accurate or up to date
• Not financial advice

06Donations

You may optionally support development through donations.

• Donations are voluntary
• Donations do not guarantee features
• Donations are non-refundable unless required by law

07Paid Features (Future)

The App is currently free, but paid features may be added later. If that happens:

• Pricing and details will be clearly shown before purchase
• Payments may be handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, or other platforms
• Those platforms' own terms may also apply
• You will always need to explicitly agree before being charged

08Third-Party Services

Some features may rely on external services (e.g. price data). We are not responsible for third-party availability or accuracy.

09Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the App or Website
• Extract, decompile, or reverse engineer the App, except to the extent such activities are expressly permitted by applicable law (for example, decompilation for interoperability under EU law)
• Use the App for illegal purposes

10Backups and Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Backing up your data
• Securing exported files
• Managing your device storage

We are not responsible for data loss, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11No Warranty

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee:

• The App will be error-free
• Continuous availability
• Accuracy of information

12Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any:

• Data loss
• Financial loss
• Damages arising from using or being unable to use the App

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for damage caused by our intent (opzet) or gross negligence (bewuste roekeloosheid), for death or personal injury caused by our fault, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13No Financial or Legal Advice

Vault Hollandia is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.

14Website Disclaimer

The Website is for demonstration purposes only and may differ from the App.

15Intellectual Property

All App content and branding belongs to the developer unless stated otherwise.

16Termination

We may discontinue or change the App at any time. You can stop using it at any time by uninstalling it.

17Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will announce them through the App's announcements feature and/or on the Website before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will always reflect the current version. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you can stop using the App.

18Governing Law & Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. These Terms do not limit those rights.
